Katy Perry’s new video Dark Horse ‘portrays blasphemy’

It seems like Katy Perry’s caused a bit of an ‘uproar’ with her latest video. According to some critics and angry Muslims, it said to have strongly represented an ‘anesthetist view’ by including distressing scenes of religious symbols being destroyed. After the video was showed on TV it then eventually came viral and an upcoming ‘internet sensation’ with a few hours. Shazad Iqbal, Bradford was one of the first few people to spot these ‘flaws’ within the video and instantly came up with the idea to form a petition since one complaint wasn't be as effective for the Muslim community. Explaining his reasons for starting the petition, Mr Iqbal wrote: “At 01:15 into the video Dark Horse a man is shown being burned, whilst wearing a pendant (also burned) forming the word Allah”. More than 60,000 people have signed the petition, saying the clip is offensive, not to mention these comments are form all over US, Australia, Lebanon and Morocco.

Within her new video, it has the pop-star poses as an Egyptian queen who than transforms suitors into sand. Surely, this pop princess couldn't of meant to discriminate or disrespect a religion just for some quick time publicity? But then again she did kiss Miley Cyrus…hmm

As part of her 26th birthday celebration, pop star Ri-Ri has decided to make it a cold one this year and travel to Aspen, Colorado along with her trustful production team and loving friends. The superstar also thought it would be nice enough to share some of her pictures of her and some friends, playing in the snow along with some saucy hot pics of Rihanna. This is what I love about this girl, she can own a chain of River Island stores and make the 'half-naked/ tomboy' look still look fashionable.

London's Fashion Week

 London Fashion week is back once more with their five-day fashion free-for-all, revealing their exciting and unique fashion styles of 2014. It's one of the most high profile places to the world, with 60 catwalks; 45 shows off schedules, this is definitely the place to attend if you consider yourself as a 'fashionista'. The city has taken fashion to a new platform a throughout the years from evolution of conventional designs to the most creative, dynamic and savvy styles/talents, all thanks to Natalie Massenet, who's been keeping a watchful eye on the fashion industry in Britain and proved to done a great job, considering Britain is now worth an amazing £26 billion to the British Economy.

Two biggest names of the season's tickets are Christopher Kane and JW Anderson who' both received investment from luxury conglomerates LVMH and Kering respectively. Other well-known fashion brands like Tom Ford and Burberry will be bringing in the crowds with their new collections and style tips. And there's more! New to the schedule for the show are: Mother of Pearl, Joseph and even the likes of Marks and Spencer!- Marks & Sparks collection will be later unveiled there flashing autumn/winter 2014 known as 'Best of British' with a few presentations and performances at Somerset House on Monday. We all have high expectations for the likeliness of these well-known brands soon to be a fabrication of new designs.

Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman welcomes their new baby boy!

Two proud parents Cowell and Silverman their new baby boy Eric. Proud father Cowell couldn't wait to show off his new son and posted pictures on twitter next to former girlfriend Lauren Silverman, who she gave birth to on Valentine's day. Aww how sweet! It was said that the X factor judge ran straight from the Britain's got Talent auditions held in West London's Hammersmith Apollo, and got the first flight to New York to see their baby be welcomed in the world.

Practically Everyone who was close to the couple was going twitter crazy after the baby Eric was born. The music and TV mogul took to Twitter to confirm the baby's name and time. It said: 'Very happy to say Eric was born at 17.45pm. Healthy and handsome. Lauren in great shape.Thanks for all of your kind messages'. he wrote on his twitter page. The name was a tribute to Simon Cowell's father Eric Cowell who died at the age of 81. Ex-X factor judge and friend of the couple Piers Morgan wrote: 'Lovely tribute to name his son after him'.

I think I'm not only one by saying that myself and thousands of viewers are happy to see Simon has finally found someone to settle down with and start a family together because let's face it, at the age of 54 and it's your first born, time wasn't on his side ha-ha. But I'm happy to the two. CONGRATS!

 The 'Britain's Got Talent Experience'!

This year for the first time, I was given tickets to be part of the audience for BGT and I'm not going to 'sugar-coat' one bit it but it was by far the best experience of a live TV show. I don't want to spoil this year's auditions but there;s nothing wrong with a 'sneak peak'. It was off the hook!They had amazing dancers, from a young boy break-dancing as a the tin-man from wizard of OZ; Singers that formed groups including an all-time favorite boy band with a different twist! and let's not forget the non-talented performers who are 'so bad we're actually good'. They're always there to lift our spirits and to make us believe that anyone could be a contestant on this show. We were entertained by the dynamic duo known as Ant and Dec! and got to meet the judges up close and personal which I found AMAZING! The Judges for this year's panel were: David Walliams, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and the devil himself Simon Cowell! Simon mentioned that he was happy to have them back on board for another prosperous year. This is the panel I have ever worked with' he said 'I really like these guys, they are very good'. Who knew Simon Cowell actually smiled! What I generally like about the show, is that it's an opportunity to see great performers and can to know them as person as well as a performer that no mater how old, small, fat you may be, you're able to achieve your dreams and if you're that passionate then you'll definitely go the extra mile.

Berlin’s Graffiti Street Art: How it all began?

Berlin is one of the most historical, moving cities ever known and is also referred to as ‘the mecca of the urban art world’. From every subway station, downtown alley and the occasional building site, there is some unique form of inspirational masterpieces left in the public’s eye. All over Germany, street art is seen more than just a brush stroke or a piece of stencil markings, it’s now a apart of their cultural society that’s highly embraced by many locals and upcoming artists, expressing their true beliefs, common interests and social past events. UNESCO, a specialized agency of the United Nations named Berlin as a ‘City of Design’. A few people doubted that the thriving street art scene was partly responsible. Local businesses and even local authorities hired artists to paint murals on the fronts of their buildings.

 But what started this generation of art work?

Looking back at the early 60’s when the Berlin wall was first built, it was located right in the heart of Berlin and created the division between West Berlin and East Germany from 1961 to 1989 and the symbolic boundary between democracy and Communism during the Cold War. The wall stretched for miles, on the top filled with barb wires and painted only in the basic colours of white and grey. However, some looked at this negative segment as a golden opportunity that led to a monument of vast inspiration. People on the Western side of the Berlin wall, known as ‘West Berliners’ had looked at this wall merely as a large, blank canvas needed to be painted. 

 What affect does it have on Germany today?

Since the downfall of the Berlin wall in 1989, Artists made a pact with East Germans and took to the streets of Mitte, Friedrichshain, Prenzlauer Berg where a whole a new level of creativity was born. Drawings of cartoon characters jumping with joy, other type of artwork bright and colourful collages of children and famous landmarks from other countries symbolising freedom. Even now, the Berlin wall has a major impact of the people today. It’s known to be one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world, with the Streets now flooded with graffiti and stencil art, it’s probably one of Germany’s most infectious hobbies. For decades, the Graffiti Art in Alexander Platz, Bernauer Straße and other well-known towns are extremely popular with the tourists and described as ‘never before seen in cities’ by the amount of art awaiting around each corners.

Amanda Knox soon to be known as 'Foxy KnoXXXy'

It's been announced that Amanda Knox, 26 has been offered a whopping 20,000 on a role starring in 'an adult film'.  Her name returned to the headlines after concluding the court’s decision over the 'Meredith Kercher case'. On Jan, Knox and ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollectio were convicted for the death of Student Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy. After being on appeal for two years, Knox may feel she has another calling, a sexy one at that. A California porn company wants to turn Amanda Knox into 'Foxy KnoXXXy'. Company founder Michael Kulich wrote: 'As you may have read, and were most likely well aware of, the general consensus is you are absolutely hot'. Now, don't get me wrong, she is an attractive lady but I wouldn't go as far to call her hot. And NO I'm not a hater that in itself is childish and takes up too much time, effort and energy.  But considering this woman has just cleared her name with allegedly committing murder why jump on the porn wagon. Maybe you that commotion of her being potentially the killer was a 'turn on' for some who knows.

HOT, steamy Gossip from Taylor Momsen

Taylor Momsen has been topping the headlines of today's newspaper of her deepest confessions regarding her sexuality issues. She spoke to the press openly admitting that she used to wear sleazy stripper shoes and corsets to help her evolve' even as a child! I loved how she justified it as to help her 'evolve' simply to hide the fact that this approach is definitely abnormal. I would think it was called being a brat; creating this publicity stunt and then having the decency to moan that half of the men population wants a piece of that A**. I think I like her more as an actress, especially in Gossip girl. Anyways, swiftly moving on, the pretty reckless singer stated that as a child, she has been experimenting with her sexuality by changing her image by dressing in a provocative manner, wearing only but corsets, make-up and heels. She said: I was a kid, and everyone found it quite shocking because I was so young'. Well, duh could you blame them? You should be playing with barbies not trying to be barbie's older/ sluttier sister.

The singer then caused yet another scene after recently releasing her latest album 'Going To Hell' which has a very vivid picture of the star naked with a large black cross painted on her back. But despite all the uproar and negative comments being thrown around, Momsen doesn't seem that bothered by it. She made a comment saying: 'I really don't give a s***-every-one's entitled to their opinion'. Here we go yet another duplicate of the much loved by the press, Miley Cyrus. The pretty reckless will be performing at the Download Festival in Donington Park, England in Leicestershire from June 13-15, alongside other big names such as: Aerosmith and Fall out boy.

Love is in the air! or is that just gas?

It's that time of year which we all love or hate. Like Marmite! which is definitely hate, along with half of the population. Where was I again? Oh right! Love is beautiful thing that comes in all different shapes in sizes, whether it's friends, family and all-time lovers. Valentine's Day reinforces that affection to show how much we care about one another. But is it just a little over-rated? with all the adverts constantly on repeat or is it that just straight up 'hater talk'? Having no one to spend it with, every year. Either way February 14th is just round the corner and it's not going anywhere. My take of the situation believe it or not is very neutral for a single person. It's just another day of the year in which I do find quite sweet, but not going to go crazy looking for a man just to live up the holiday's expectation. It's just stupid! Sorry fellas who are reading this, but I need to talk to the ladies for a minute. Have any of you single ladies out there been pressured by any of your home girls to find a man for Valentine's day? I know I have and it just drives me insane. Now, I'm not saying I'm cool living without no man around because hey! a girl got her needs and it's nice to share your life with someone. But call me old school when  say Ii would prefer the meaning of the word 'Love' to take nature's course.

And that's my personal rant over, I hope you all enjoy Valentine's day whether you've got somebody or not.
But for those single ladies out there let's just embrace our 'singledom' and shake our booties just like what Queen BEY taught us! You shake it girl!

Wireless Festival, one of UK's biggest summer fests

The Wireless festival is back in biz! Tickets for the festival of a lifetime has started selling like hotcakes this morning. It's hosted in Finsbury Park, North London from July 2014. This year they have the hottest line-ups for that open-air experience. First lined-up on Friday, we have the talented Kanye West with special guest from Fabulous Pharrell Williams. Other opening acts include: Basement Jaxx, Iggy Azalea and other great artists.

Kicking things off on Saturday, we have American rapper Dizzy Drake himself performing his latest chart-stoppers of last year 'Hold on we're going home' and 'Versace' and might surprise his fans with some old school favorites. With special guest from Rudimental, Wiz Khalifa, Azealia Banks and many more! Finally, wrapping up the three day extravaganza none other than the lovable Bruno Mars! Featuring a special appearance from Outkast, Ellie Goulding, John Newman an loads more! I don't know about you folks but this by far happens to be the best match-up of artists for this summer fest. You'll can definitely count on me showing my face for one event in the park if not all three!

Disclosure ft Mary J Blige- 'F for You'

Now here's a collaboration I didn't see coming, but I got to say it's definitely works. The upbeat/contagious beat of house music produced by none other than 'Best of the British sound', Disclosure. So far it's been a good year for the two brothers, after their previous release of their forth single from the duo's debut album 'Settle' and being nominated for four BRIT Awards including 'Best Album' and 'Best single'. But despite all of that, they managed to get a hook up with rightful owner of R&B, legendary singer Mary J Blige. Disclosure's video starts off with their iconic 'stencils over the face' of MJB and their own, along with pop-up lyrics of the song. It's already onto a flying start to hitting the UK charts.

Angel ft Tally- 'Scared'

British rapper Angel, decided to drop a new music video release for his single 'Scared' featuring Tally. This enjoyable slow jam is based in London's China town influenced by his roller-coaster of a journey he's experienced through his music career as well as his personal life. Tally, jumps on the track with his 'sensational lyrics' that gives the video that extra boost. 'Scared' is the second video Angel's dropped this month, with the visuals to his single 'Us' that was previously being shown a couple of weeks ago and will officially be released on February 3rd.

 

Lil Wayne, Birdman and Euro- 'We Alright'

The moment we've all been waiting for, Young Money featuring legendary leaders of the group Lil Wayne and Birdman, announces their new release of their track for this month featuring up-coming new rapper Euro who doesn't hold back on this rapping abilities and is already known to have 'a powerful/lyrical flow'. The follow up to their previous album 'We are Young Money' is due for a march 11th due date. Their single 'We alright is meant to be acting as their first single to the released from the album. As Young Money fans, we're expecting this Album to be dope! Let's hope they don't disappoint.

Katy B has her new Album ‘Little Red’ released this Month. The British '5am' singer told sources that: The Album has meaningful connections along with the usual club-friendly bangers that we’re used to. Her other hit single that made UK charts was 'Lights on' featuring Ms Dynamite back in 2009 It’s safe to say that the 24-year-old is definitely ‘upped her game’ since her last release of her album in 2011 ‘Katy on a mission’ focusing on her hectic party lifestyle. The singer is now adding tracks accessorised with repetitious soul shouts and samples had a meditative allure, but they lacked the blissful escapism that real songs.

Visiting the unique sounds of Colombia

 The sounds of Fonseca

 Julian Fernando Fonseca is Colombia's biggest names in all things Latin pop or Tropipop. The single 'Te mando flores' meaning 'sends you flowers' was just one of the catchy/ popular song known worldwide, and played non-stop in his hometown in Bogota where the artist was born and raised. Fonseca first realised he had a major passion for music at the young age of 5 and by he turned 12,  he had got into recording his own material and successfully sold 500 copies sold from his first single. In 2002, he released his first album 'Fonseca' which sold over thousand copies worldwide. His most memorable tracks included 'Magangue' and 'Noche da carnaval'. He's also collaborated with other well-known Colombian singers and rappers such as: Shakira, Juanes and Carlos Vives.  He stated in his last interview that: 'My inspiration for this album mainly reflected my different feelings. Enthusiasm, joy and love. Looks like Fonseca's career doesn't seem to be dying down anytime soon. His best singles and support from his many Latino fans this lead a generation of an all-time star to start planning Tours for his latest album 'Illusion' was released in 2011 produced Andres Levin and Bernando Ossa. He said: 'I am excited that on my Illusion World Tour I will carry the message of Colombia form Brand Colombia (markets a positive image of the country) to the U.S. I am very proud of my country and I'm honoured to be its ambassador'.

'Queen of Colombian music' Toto la Momposina 

Sonia Bazanta Vides aka Toto la Momposina, 66, is a famous Colombian singer with an Afro-Colombian descent and known to be 'Queen of Colombian music' in hertown Talaigua Nuevo near Mompox in the Bolivar Department where the legendary singer was raised. The artist uses her unique mix of culture and combines traditional Colombian music with a fusion of African musical culture. Some of her fans would describe her as 'an inspiration to Colombian and birth mother of music'. Her first album Cantadora (MTM Auvidisc, 1983). For some other her newly devoted fans recognized her from her best-selling album 'La Candela Viva' in 1993 on Peter Gabriel's Real World Records label. She's also known for other fusions from Colombia of genres like Bullerengue, is a musical style and dance from the Caribbean Region of Colombia and the Darien Province in Panama. Artists like Toto la Momposina have increased Bullerngue's international popularity and success, having been nominated for the Latin Grammy Award for Best Folk Album and wining awards like Latin Grammy Award for record of the year for her single 'Pacanto' in 2000.

Gettin 'Jiggy' with Jiggy Drama

Jiggy Drama is easily described as Columbian's lovable breakout star in 'Urban Latin Music' back in early 2011. His style of music gravitates to Hip-Hop and a mixture of Reggaeton. But that doesn't make him fresh in the musicbiz. He first steeped on the music platform back in the 90's, where he was still producing mixtapes, demos and doing minor collaborations with major star with hope that one day boast his chances of becoming a rapper before then touching base with radio and then released his hit single 'La Fuga' which then set the artist on his way to the path on success. The Latin rapper has a new upcoming album soon to be released called 'NerdSide'. His mentions that his inspiration to his ideas that: 'The idea goes way to school. I used to wear glasses, not because I was a nerd but I was blind (laughs). I know most rappers would go for Bling, hoodies but it doesn't matter how you dress, it's how you get the message across'.  Yes folks you're not mistaken, I had to read this twice already to believe it, but yes it's true well-known DJ is hooking up with all time favourite rapper Jay Z and all-mighty Will Smith. Now we all remember Taylor Momsen, the lead singer for the band 'The pretty reckless'? she played Jennifer in gossip girl (XOXO..sorry couldn't help myself) well anyways, she's back with a new attitude towards music with her soon-to-be release of her new album 'Going to hell' erm, okay very creative. I take it she wasn't in her happy place when deciding on the name. On top on that, she's topless, well actually naked. The 20-year-old singer wanted to show off more than her music.

That's right the British singer Rita Ora has scored big time with an opportunity of a lifetime! The 'R.I.P' singer had just recently signed a contract to model for Madonna's clothes line, material girl. How exciting is that #TeamBritain. A source said that the singers met up at the Met ball in New York and clicked just like that. Madonna felt she was the right role model and had the positive attitude. Plus her daughter Lourdes Leon is like a huge Rita Ora fan. But Honestly, I can't say the queen of Pop didn't make the right decision I mean cmon! Sexy Shakira releases the name of her new album

Shakira has always been by far one of 'the sexiest women' to have ever touched down in the music industry but she's back and ready to face the music with the new and improve creative name for her album. Have you guess what she named it yet? None other than herself..Shakira. Surely you couldn't think of anything other name apart from your own? Apparently, the singer bravely stated in her interview: 'I am enough. Imperfections and all.' You see that's something I would say in my head most likely but if that what sells, you go girl! Wow, look who popped out of the blue and into this smug-fitted sexy blue dress along with her shiny waist belt and black and silver peak toe shoes. The dazzling singer blew us away winning the X factor back in 2006 and has manage to have the same knock-on effect whilst standing pretty in pink (I mean, blue) for the 5th Annual Essence Black women in music event in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Lewis also made a habit of flashing her feather tattoo which didn't have a huge effect on the crowds. She still looked stunning!

Honestly, I'm surprised that people generally care. Last week he was stopped and accused of Vandalism and a drug scandal. He was caught egging a neighbour's home in LA whilst holding class A drugs. Sorry but what are you ten?, who goes around egging people's houses at 19? Listen, take it from me and the rest of the population, everyone hated you a lot less when you were that sweet yet annoying 'baby' singer. 

Miley an 'industrial nightmare'

Kasabian has slaughtered the singer by branded her as 'f***ing nightmare of the 21st Century' Ouch! I knew Miley's stunt as the EMA's had a massive affect on people by the use of seductive form of dance aka 'twerking' but I didn't think she was THAT bad. The star carries on his rant by making comments about how he believes Miley is taking the easy option in the music industry by selling her sexually and appearance. He said: 'It's just a money-making thing, guitarist Serigo Pizzorno, jumped in te discussion by pointing out that: 'We (the industry) created Miley Cyrus, man that's our fault. She just a f***ing accumulation of internet porn, f***ing hip-hop, f***ing Disney world. Well, you get the picture folks, it hasn't been such a walk in the park for the newly transformed Miley but let's hope she'll recover from all this negative publicity.

Sam Smith, UK singer famously known for his UK singles and best collabs of 2013 like  'la-la-la ft Naughty Boy' and 'Latch ft Disclosure'. He's already won a BRIT and on top of that, has been named BBC's sound Of 2014. And it doesn't stop there for the singer. He's now been placed in a competition to win MTV's brand new for 2014. Here's wishing you luck Sam!






Superstar Adele announces possible tour in 2015


Yes that's right folks, the soulful and up most talented Adele has mentioned there being a possible tour next year. The SkyFall singer has recently taken break from the limelight to stay home and look after her new born and enjoy the comfort of being mother. Aww... But that hasn't stopped her she's still in the mitts of releasing new material for her latest album.

Little mix seems to be 'Mixing' words up

These girls has been through a 'roller-coaster' of a lifetime! The 2012 winners of X factor, the singers faced the vocal lessons, the dreaded Simon Cowell and had successful releases of singles that made UK charts. The groups first single released 'Wings' made No.1 for weeks. Days later, released yet another chart-stopping song 'How ya doin'' featuring legendary rapper, Missy Elliott. Now, these girls has completed their recent single for sports relief  called 'word up' . It was played for the first time on Nick Grimshaw's BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show. Little mix version new single is will be out March 16, with sport Relief taking place from 21 March- 23rd March.

Pharell seems to be 'Happy' with his latest soundtrack

Pharell has successfully maintained the number one spot in the UK charts. The despicable me 2 track shifted nearly 118, 000 copies over the last seven days! How amazing is that! Branded as one of the best weekly sales to date. In total 'Happy has now sold over 500,000 copies in the UK since it was released in November. And I can see why the song is doing SO well because it's so catchy it's unbelievable. It just goes to show that isn't just a lyrical genius but a money-making one as well.

Fashion Updates of 2014

Hello all! bringing you the latest fashion trends of this year, inspired by new clothes lines and unique pieces placed together ready for the catwalk finale!

So let's get a look at Paris, This year the fashion house has culottes, wedges and a shocking pink has made a triumphant return to none other than to Paris's haute couture week, ending nearly SIX whole decades of waiting. It's been at least forty years after the death trend -setter and fashion icon Elsa Schiaparelli, but of course her legacy lives on. The house of Schiaparelli staged an unforgettable catwalk show in Paris's place Vendome yesterday morning. The show was watched by well-known fashionable icons. Such as: Jean Paul Gaultier, Elle Macpherson and Carla Bruni. The house is now in care pf womenwear designer Marco Zanini, who sought to translate 'Elsa Schiaparelli's spirit into a collection relevant for today's women'. The crowd was amazed by the unvieling of his new creation for 'Spring fashion 2014'. They were pantaloons hand-painted, flowing, polka-dot bardot-style gowns. If you ask me, I actually like this clothes line. It's quirky, definitely unique and changes the generic outlook to the whole everyday  stereo-typical dress code for winter/spring wear. Ladies, be inspired. Spring just got exciting!

Legendary reggae artist Sanchez has released his new single online ‘Him buy you A drink’ is already been rated UK’s no.1 reggae single of January 2014! It’s looking big this year for the artist, with every New Year comes new changes and Sanchez made it clear that’s going to happen.  New music, new look, new team and a new distribution deal.  In his interview with ICR FM’s daddy turbo he said: ‘I feel blessed right now. I’ve actually had the privilege to sign up with a major label. I think it was about three weeks ago, but believe you and me Sanchez is now a whole another level right now’.

On top of his game, is none other than rapper Kid Ink, formally known as ‘Rockstar’ .He was first discovered by his mixtapes ‘Crash landing’ and ‘Daydreamer’ back in 2012. He’s now released his first major record label last year, collaborating with singers like Chris Brown from his single ‘show me’.  It’s no wonder why he was voted PUSH artist of January 2014!

School’s out for this boy! 014!

Not wasting any time is Schoolboy Q, is starting his soundtrack of 2014 with a BANG! He’s soon to drop his major-label debut, Oxymoron, on February 25, Q makes a bold declaration with his new "Man of the Year" music video. Judging by the reviews this video is not to be missed! Like what schoolboy Q would say:  "It's a party over here/ Shake it for the man of the year."

No Pants Subway Ride: 'where was my invite?'

Just in case your wondering, yes, you've read it the first and second time correctly, 'No Pants Subway ride' is an annual celebration of commutors all over the world taking apart with riding public transport with no pants. The reason for this you all might be thinking. Well, the event begun as a joke in 2002 when New York acting group Improv Everywhere decided to shock members of the public by taking off their trousers. Since it's regcononition on the world wide web, it's funny yet completely random improv has now turned into public holiday of practical jokes. Pictures of people in their underwear have been streaming in from across the world, with cities such as London, Berlin, Brussels, Hong Kong and Sydney taking part.

Organiser of the London event Rammi Glomp joked about what was to come when speaking to participants on Facebook beforehand. He said:‘I’ll probably be holding a pair of sparkly red underpants and a sign so I shouldn’t be too hard to miss. If you feel like your missing out on all the action, why don't you get involved next year and show off either your sparkly knickers or better yet sexy boxers!

Kylie Minogue, new judge of Britain's talent show 'The Voice'?

Where do I start, hmm Okay, positive factor. I like Kylie Minogue as a singer, sh brought us many 'memorable songs  but do I love her enough to watch her on our screens for a whole new season of 'The voice'. The voice is a talent show open to anyone that claims to have an angel's voice but with a unique twist. The judges must listen to you first before coming to the decision of actually, making judgement on our appearance, body language. Which I think is pure genius. Now only does it allows them carefully judge their vocal ability but it helps cut down on the 'barbie look-a-likes' and non-talented ones that always seems to make it in the music industry simply by having 'the look'. If that was the case I would have been a singer years ago! ha-ha get it! I'm basically saying that I've got the look..No? okay, never mind. Back to Kylie, I think she would have been the ideal candidate possibly in 2009. Her limelight and fame has grown a little dim since her last release of songs. I mean, she could still as well be 'the queen of pop' back in Australia but not so much in the UK. But that's just me.

12 Years a Slave- ‘A truly inspirational story’

12 Years a Slave is a 2013 British-American epic historical drama film and an adaptation of the 1853 autobiography by Solomon Northup, a New York State-born as a ‘free man’ who was kidnapped in Washington, D.C in 1841 and sold into slavery. He worked on plantations in the state of Louisiana for twelve years before his release. Now, I’m not going to bombard you with so much information to do with this movie. But I will say this, I have not yet seen the movie but it’s definitely going on my ‘must-see’ list of movies this year. Some has already described it as ‘a truly moving’ experience’ simply by watching this film, capturing the much sickening and despicable essence of slavery back in 19th century.

One man who deserves quite a lot of credit for embarking on such this adaptation on the black culture is Steve McQueen, the director of ’12 years a slave’ or what some would like to call him ‘the man with the vision’.  It’s authenticity from the actors such as: ‘Chiwetel Ejiofor’,an impressive performer on screen – certainly since his breakthrough role as a refugee doctor opposite Audrey Tautou in 2002′s Dirty Pretty Things. Along with some A-list actors like: Brad Pitt, Paul Dano, Michelle K. Williams and Micheal Fassbender. It conveys the story so well you generally feel like you’re apart of it. For me, being a black individual, it’s just such a eye-opener to see what my ancestors went through. Imagine living in an unfair segregated and hatred society, where you’re judged, hated and punished simply because of your colour of your skin? It makes me feel more appreciative and proud of my culture, despite our stereo-typical characteristics nowadays. it makes me think we came so far, just my great role models who did what we couldn't or had the mindset that we were not able to process in their lifetime. Martin Luther King, Mary Seacole and the most recently deceased Nelson Mandela.
